Which countries are known for blocking VPN connections?

There are a few countries that are known to block VPN connections. China has for
many years attempted to limit internet access through what is known as the Great
Firewall of China. Recently it has been reported that they are able to detect and block
VPN connections as well.

Other countries on the list include Iran, Russia, and Syria. While it’s still possible to use
a VPN in these countries there are active measures to limit or stop their use.
